NEWS RELEASE
The interest in spiritual healing, and the quest to
discover the meaning of life and the afterlife - who we are and what we
are doing here - has rarely been more prominent in our society than at
the present time. Could it be that the evolution of the human species
and these turbulent times demand that we look more deeply into our existence
than ever before? There is little doubt - we
want answers.
A Gift of Healing
in a Handbook by Penney Leyshon and Kathleen Spellman, is a true
departure from the usual crop of healing books. It is written from an
elevated perspective for everyone who has ever asked these questions,
regardless of their stage of spiritual development. Through text, poetry
and twelve original pieces of artwork, the book offers a comprehensive
look at healing, humanity, process and universal forces.
As Penney Leyshon, professional healer, artist and author
of A Gift of Healing in a Handbook
explains, "People have a curious nature and have lived in a lackadaisical
state of curiosity. They want to know how to live and how to die and what
the future holds. They want to be awakened to the truth because they feel
that something is knocking at the door. This book supplies and augments
that which is necessary to move on."
Co-author Kathleen Spellman says, "I am amazed by the
inexhaustible wellspring of knowledge and insight that Penney Leyshon
puts forth each day. This book heals as it teaches." Ms. Spellman continues,
"What makes A Gift of Healing in a
Handbook different is that it does not presume the reader has any
prior knowledge of philosophy or spirituality. Yet its insights are deep
enough to challenge a student of philosophy to view our existence in a
different light. The book talks about all the major issues we face today:
addiction, depression, guilt, shame, codependency... It explains why we
are here, why we are meant to go through the experiences of our lives,
and what waits for us when we are finished. We are given answers, and
we are given the tools with which to find our own answers. I think the
result is a revolutionary work that concisely explains our interactive
relationships with God, the universe, each other, and with ourselves."
"A Gift of Healing
in a Handbook speaks to all people of all backgrounds and of all
beliefs. It does not presume to judge any religious belief or spiritual
higher way of thought. We are all equal, and any belief when practiced
through goodness, cooperation and equality is valid," says Ms.
Leyshon.
