Oxccidus is in the final stages of designing its Young Author Program. Selected writers 7 through 13 years of age will have their stories published in a series of compiled works.

Young Author Program requirements:

• Young author must be between the ages of 7 and 13 when the story is written.
• Story must be an original work.
• Manuscripts must be under 9000 words,12pt. double-spaced in length. (Approximately 30 pages)
• We look for stories that display unique insights and innovative creativity; something new to share.
• Scenes and situations portraying or sensationalizing forms of violence and/or darkness will rarely be considered. Authors are challenged to be edgy, creative and strategic in depicting both sides of conflicts.
• Stories may require several re-writes before being accepted for final publication. Young writers must be serious about their writing and willing to work hard.
• Oxccidus reserves the right to make the final decision as to whether or not a story goes to print.
• The author will retain copyright ownership of his/her own work.
